Fabric Description

Hard, pink buff fabric with fine dense inclusions, slightly lustrous buff slip.

Description

Made of 6 fragments, lower part missing. Flat rim, two vertical strap handles, short neck.

Decoration

Decorated with groups of parallel chevrons on the rim, solid paint on the interior of the rim and on the collar; handles also painted solid with a reserved vertical band and a vertical ridge in the centre; two perforations on the top and bottom of each handle; shoulder zone decorated with confronting  bulls, only hind parts of the bulls are preserved; tail raised upward and then falling to the ground. The bull on the left is rendered with in thin outline and filled with dots and blobs of paint. Above there is a motif of parallel chevrons; the bull on the right is also filled with dots and blobs of paint, below there are shell motifs and a stylized plant motif above; parallel bands on lower part of body in reddish brown to dark brown lustrous paint.
